Artificial intelligence is already entering employee benefits through everyday workplace tools, benefits platforms, recordkeepers, third-party administrators, health plans, communication systems, and other vendor-delivered services. The practical question is no longer simply whether an organization is using AI, but where it is present, what role it performs, and what people may do because of its output.
This presentation will examine practical ways AI can support benefits professionals, including drafting and improving communications, summarizing, and organizing information, classifying documents, identifying patterns and potential risks, and helping employees navigate benefits information. It will also introduce a simple Data → Output → Decision framework for evaluating AI-supported work, explain why oversight should increase as AI moves closer to recommendations and consequential decisions, and show what meaningful human review looks like in practice. Participants will leave with concrete questions they can apply to their own work, vendors, and emerging AI use cases. Speaker:
